SATYA and Restorative Yoga at Soul Farm!
Join Freya for a lovely day of nurturing your mind, body and spirit! This day includes two yoga practices and a farm-to-table meal, time to enjoy the nature and horses at Soul Farm, and experience the joy of a peaceful day in the country with friends, old and new!
The day begins with a SATYA yoga practice. SATYA is a mindful movement practice done on the floor to balance the structure and open the body without force. This practice is a combination of somatic movements and asana that will help open the joint spaces, release adhesions in connective tissue and reduce fatigue, filling the body with new vital energy.
After a break for a delicious midday meal and time to explore, we will enjoy a restorative yoga practice by the ponds, under the big, blue sky. Restorative Yoga is a supported mind/body relaxation practice. Poses are held longer and without muscular effort, allowing the breath to deepen and the body and mind to relax and release tension. The sounds of nature will further restore the spirit, and we will finish the day feeling refreshed!
Please bring a yoga mat, 2-3 small blankets, a yoga strap and a pillow or bolster. If you have yoga blocks, please bring those too.
