FAQs

Can Soul Farm accommodate my food preferences?

Our Soul Farm chefs cook from the heart, and heartland cooking is what we do best! Individual preferences may not always be accommodated. If you have a health-related need, please let us know. We will be honest about our capabilities in meeting your needs; please reach out BEFORE you book.

How can I book a Retreat?

Go to our 2023 Schedule. Click on an interesting retreat or event. There you will read all about it. Then, to book, click the “Book Now” button. On this page, you will see a few more details, and if they are available, options to add additional activites to your retreat (think massages and trail rides!) We use PayPal as our payment processor. This is secure, and does not require you to have a PayPal account; you can simply input a credit card. you will immediately receive a receipt from PayPal. Within two business days, Soul Farm will also reach out to you with more specific information. And, of course, you can email judi@soulfarmretreats.com with questions.

What should I bring to a retreat?

Soul Farm is largely un-landscaped, meaning the ground may be uneven, muddy, or prickly at times. Please bring closed-toed shoes for walks in the woods, waterproof shoes for dewy mornings or rainy days. We provide linens, but you will prefer your own towel. We have natural bug-sprays, flashlights, and other helpful items; stronger bug sprays should be brought if desired. Upon booking, we will send a list of any other needs specific to your retreat.

Will you help me arrange carpooling?

Sure! If you reach out to us, we are glad to assist in connecting you with other attendees to see if carpooling options are available.

Can I room with my friends?

We will do all we can to make that dream a reality! The absolute best way is to book together. You can put multiple reservations and extras in one cart. The system will not allow you to book beds that are no longer available. For that reason, book early!

Do I have to come with a friend?

No, most certainly not. But you most certainly will make friends while here!

What if I do not wish to participate in a planned activity? Or, what if I want to bring a friend who does not wish to participate in all activities?

This is your retreat; if there is something planned that doesn’t set you aquiver with excitement, you can certainly pass and just relax. We cannot shift prices, however, to accommodate different plans. Friends are welcome to register for the retreat and take part in what suits them. (There is always a stall that needs mucking!)

What if the weather is very bad?

Soul Farm is a natural property, so variances in temperature, rain and other conditions must be expected, and we make every effort to assure your enjoyment regardless. However, there are some times we may choose to cancel. Please read more about this here.

Can you tell me specifically where Soul Farm is?

Soul Farm is about 7 miles east of the little town of Amboy, Illinois. Upon booking your retreat, we will send detailed driving instructions.
